This Privacy Policy explains how Latitudes Technologies collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you use our mobile application and services. 2. Information We Collect

Personal Information

We may collect personally identifiable information that you voluntarily provide, including:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, profile photo
  • Profile Data: Display name, bio, preferences
  • Event Data: Events you create, join, or interact with
  • Payment Information: Transaction records for expense splitting (we do not store card details)
  • Communication Data: Chat messages and media references. When end-to-end encryption (E2EE) is enabled, message content is encrypted on your device and we cannot read it.

Automatically Collected Information

  • Device information (model, operating system, unique identifiers)
  • Location data (only when you grant permission for event features)
  • Usage analytics (app interactions, feature usage patterns)
  • Log data (IP address, access times, pages viewed)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for:

  • Enabling expense splitting and settlement features
  • Facilitating communication between users

  • Other Users: Profile information visible to event participants

We do NOT sell your personal data to advertisers or third parties.

We implement robust security measures:

  • End-to-end encryption for chat when the feature is enabled — Latitudes cannot access message plaintext on our servers
  • Secure HTTPS connections for all data transfers
  • Regular security audits and updates
  • Access controls and authentication measures
  • Encrypted storage for sensitive data and chat media

6. Chat Delivery, Retention & Forwarding

LetzGo.Live uses a WebSocket-first chat model. Your device stores the primary chat history locally. Our servers may temporarily hold encrypted message envelopes only to deliver messages to your devices when you are offline or on a new device.

  • Direct, group, and sidechat messages: Server copies are deleted within 7 days or sooner after your device confirms it saved the message.
  • Event chat and event media: Retained on our servers until the event organizer archives the event, then deleted promptly.
  • E2EE: When enabled, we route ciphertext only and cannot read message content.
  • Forwarded messages: Forward trails are visible to participants on their devices; we do not store forward trail plaintext on our servers.
  • Media forwards: Forwards reuse the same encrypted media reference — we do not duplicate uploaded files.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Correction: Update inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and data
  • Portability: Receive your data in a portable format
  • Opt-out: Disable certain data collection features

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law. Chat server buffers follow the retention rules in section 6 above. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except for data we are required to retain for legal purposes.

9. Children's Privacy

Our app is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.

10. Third-Party Services

Our app may integrate with third-party services:

  • Google Maps for location services
  • Firebase for authentication and analytics
  • Payment processors for transactions

These services have their own privacy policies governing their use of your data.
